About Me.

Frankly, I can’t imagine someone not being familiar with me, given that the Galar Gym Challenge and the Galar Gym Leaders alike draw a very public spectacle. But, for the sake of being thorough, I will oblige.

My name is Bede. I began training at a very young age, and initially specialized in Psychic-types. At 13, I was sponsored by then-Chairman Rose to enter the Gym Challenge. After I was expelled from the challenge for poor conduct, then-Gym Leader Opal took note of me, and took me under her wing as her successor. Since then, I’ve switched my type specialty, and taken over the position of Ballonlea’s Gym Leader.

As-of now, I am 16 years old, and I reside with Ms Opal in her Ballonlea home. I am considered a member of Champion Gloria’s ‘friend group’, often grouped in with Professor Sonia’s assistant, Hop, and Gym Leader Marnie by the media. I don’t mind this, though. I consider them all rivals and friends. I am romantically partnered with Hop, though this development is rather recent. Another somewhat-recent development is officially being adopted into Ms Opal's family.

I work as the Gym Leader of Ballonlea from 10-3pm, Monday through Thursday, on an appointment basis. On my hours off, I'm often either studying, wandering in Glimwood Tangle, or socializing in some manner.
